A Girl Like Me Inc. was born out of the challenges I faced as a young girl. I created this space to ensure that girls stay ahead of the societal, biological, and family pressures they face. As more girlfriends joined in, we thrived as a community of volunteers and donors who have kept us going.
Many girls we helped are now paying forward by joining us for volunteer work. They identify with the cause and are more empathetic and effective in helping women in need.
Opportunities
We are always looking for volunteers to help out with community events, share a story with our girls, teens, and teen moms in our mentoring program, sort through donations, and more.
Group opportunities are also available! Please feel free to contact us about opportunities to volunteer.
If you can’t volunteer, consider donating to the cause. You don’t have to have a lot to contribute. If you are willing to share a little of what you have, that’s enough. We are forever grateful to our donors. Know that you made a girl smile.
